In Sector 34, a 45-year-old Nepalese national fell to his death from the roof of a four-story building.

Hark Bahadur worked as a cook at an eatery outside the building, which also houses the State Bank of India.

On Wednesday night, Hark and his nephew Tek Bahadur slept on the roof after drinking liquor.

According to police, Hark appeared to wake up to relieve himself and fell off the roof while inebriated.

He found Hark, who was sleeping next to him, missing when he woke up in the morning. Hark was found lying unconscious in a blood pool on the road by his nephew when he looked around. A cop investigating the case said Hark was rushed to GMCH, Sector 32, but declared dead when he arrived. The building’s watchman immediately alerted the police.

Inquest proceedings in the case have been initiated at Sector-34 police station. The deceased’s family has been notified in Nepal. The body has been moved to the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
